What is a Winter Cover Plate? This covers the hole when you remove the basket. In very wintery locations you may want to remove the basket so it does not become damaged from filling with snow/melting/refreeze and damages the basket

What is the Foam Filter? This material sits in the bottom of the basket. It will help to catch the roof grit and other debris that might find its way through the larger holes. It also helps to reduce the pinging noise of water dripping.

Easy Installation for 3x4 aluminum downspouts

• Cut your downspout (we suggest they be installed at about eye level or at the very least where you can reach them without a ladder) and crimp the 4 corners so your downspout will slide inside of the SlimLine Downspout Filter. You only need to slide in just a little bit.
• Measure from the bottom of the SlimLine Downspout Filter Adapter to your termination point, then trim the bottom downspout section to that length.
• Insert bottom of plastic SlimLine Downspout Filter - 3"x4" Adapter into trimmed downspout section.
• Secure the downspout to the wall with downspout straps.

Easy Installation for any 2x3 vinyl or aluminum downspouts:

• Cut your downspout (we suggest they be installed at about eye level or at the very least where you can reach them without a ladder).
• Attach the included Reducer to the top of the 3x4 vinyl downspout section. Note the skinny part of the Reducer is to be against the back wall.
• Slide your existing downspout in to the the top reducer.  You only need to slide in just a little bit.
• Place the bottom Downspout to Downspout Adapter on the bottom of the 3x4" vinyl downspout section.
• Measure to your termination point, then trim the bottom downspout section to that length.
• Insert bottom of Downspout to Downspout Adapter into trimmed downspout section.
• Secure the downspout to the wall with downspout straps.
